What’s Proposed for MIPS and Physician Payment in 2019?

Description
A webinar on the 2019 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Proposed Rule, which includes the Quality Payment Program (QPP). ASCRS Director of Government Relations Nancey McCann and Manager of Regulatory Affairs Allison Madson provide an overview of the proposed rule and how it impacts ophthalmology. Among the key proposals in the rule are MIPS for 2019, including a major overhaul of the Promoting Interoperability Category, and the inclusion of a new cataract surgery episode-based cost measure. In addition, they review CMS’ proposal to change documentation and payment of E/M codes. The webinar includes a preview of ASCRS’s comments to CMS on the proposed rule.
