The Medicare program has specific rules for proper documentation and successful billing. This course details the requirements for the most commonly billed Medicare services, enabling participants to identify and meet these stipulations moving forward.
After gaining basic knowledge of procedure and diagnosis codes, one must learn the importance of modifiers and how they are applied. This course breaks down these modifiers so that upon completion, the participant will be able to confidently look up and apply modifiers.
Ophthalmic Disease Basics
While there are many ophthalmic diseases, some are more prevalent than others. This course provides an overview of the most common diseases seen among ophthalmology practices, providing students with a basic understanding of these ailments upon completion.
Physiology of the Ophthalmic System
Upon learning the eye’s basic anatomy, the next step in understanding the visual system is knowing how its structures function. This course defines the most commonly discussed physiological processes by which we see. Upon completion, the participant will be able to describe in lay terms how the eye’s anatomy works to provide sight.
