With just a few months left before ICD-10 diagnosis codes are to be implemented, understanding what is involved in converting from ICD-9 to ICD-10 is critical. The new code set will require revised forms, more specific documentation, and retraining of staff and physicians as well as software changes. Early preparation and adequate training may limit potential problems during the transition and allow practices to realize the benefits of ICD-10 sooner and avoid costly claim denials during the transition. This web seminar will provide basic training on ICD-10 as well as coding scenarios. It will also include suggested steps that can be taken to assist in preparing for the conversion to ICD-10 prior to October 1, 2015.
